The Adamawa State Police Command has officially announced the apprehension of three individuals in connection with the gruesome murder of Bilkisu Alhaji Idi, a woman found beheaded at the Happy Day Quest Inn Hotel in Yola North Local Government Area. The suspects identified as Offa Jacob and Yifarta Caleb, both receptionists at the hotel, and Habibu Isah, a security guard, were taken into custody following the shocking discovery on January 18, 2024.Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, assured the public of a thorough investigation into the matter, highlighting the seriousness with which the Adamawa Police Command is treating this sensitive case.The victim’s ex-husband, who preferred to remain anonymous, recounted his interaction with the police, revealing that he was summoned to the Karewa Division and subsequently to the Adamawa Police headquarters. There, he received the devastating news of his former wife’s tragic fate. He shared details of Bilkisu’s final phone call, where she had requested to speak to their son. Unable to view the body, the ex-husband expressed deep sorrow over the loss.As the police continue their investigation, they have vowed to pursue every lead diligently, ensuring that those responsible for the heinous crime face justice.
