Son Allegedly Murders Father for Yahoo-plus in Abia State

In a disturbing incident in Umuahia, Abia State, police have apprehended a 27-year-old man, Chinalu Ogbonna, suspected of murdering his 57-year-old father, Mmaduka Ogbonna.Chinalu, believed to be involved in ‘Yahoo Plus,’ allegedly strangled his father at their residence on Umueze Road, Umuahia. Shockingly, he then removed his father’s left eye, purportedly for use in a money ritual.Confirming the incident, ASP Maureen Chinaka, spokesperson for the Abia State Police Command, informed journalists that the murder case was reported at the Central Police Station on Monday morning. Upon investigation, detectives discovered the lifeless body of Mmaduka Ogbonna with his left eye gouged out.Chinalu Ogbonna, residing with his father at Umueze Road, has been arrested. Investigations revealed that he killed his father with the intention of using his left eye for money rituals. The deceased’s body has been taken to the morgue for autopsy, and key evidence has been recovered.The police emphasized that the case is currently under thorough investigation and will be prosecuted in court.In a separate incident, Marcel Udeh from Umunneochi LGA was also arrested for allegedly killing his son over a dispute involving food. This case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further examination.
