A tragic incident occurred on Friday at Isolo Under bridge inward Oshodi, Lagos State, where an unnamed female passenger lost her life in a head-on collision between a Kia car and a stationary 20-foot containerized truck.
Drivetvnews reports that the Kia car, bearing registration number KWL-475CZ, was speeding when it collided with the truck on the highway, as per a statement from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, cited by Channels TV.
The collision left the car driver injured while the female passenger succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Emergency response teams including LASTMA officials and the Nigeria Police arrived promptly to assist. The deceased was recovered and handed over to the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit for transportation to the morgue.
The damaged car was moved to Olosan Police Station while efforts awaited the agency’s heavy-duty equipment for the removal of the abandoned containerized truck from the road.
As of the report filing, the identities of the victims remained undisclosed.
