Nigerian comedian and actor, Isaac Olayiwola, widely known as Layi Wasabi, recently expressed his views on relationships, specifically stating that he does not subscribe to the concept of a “girlfriend.” This revelation was made during a recent episode of the “Is This Seat Taken?” podcast, hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam.
The winner of the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for Best Online Content Creator explained that he prefers the term “partnership” over “girlfriend.” He elaborated on his approach to relationships, emphasizing that he starts with courtship. According to him, “I don’t believe in the concept of a girlfriend. I believe in partnership. I don’t believe in that phase of girlfriends. I start with courtship. I have to see the wife in the person from the beginning.”
Chinasa, the podcast host, commented, “That speaks a level of focus. That’s fine.”
Additionally, Wasabi revealed that he has only been on four dates. He also mentioned his preference for tall women, stating that height is the first thing he notices in women.
