Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has commended President Bola Tinubu’s performance during his first year in office. Kosoko affirmed that he stands by his decision to vote for Tinubu, noting that the President is “doing very well” despite the challenges of addressing a distressed economy.
In a recent interview on “Curiosity Made Me Ask” with Bae U Barbie, Kosoko expressed his belief that repairing the economy is a complex and time-consuming process. He reiterated his support for Tinubu, citing their long-standing relationship and Tinubu’s significant contributions to nation-building.
Kosoko underscored Tinubu’s pivotal role in Nigeria’s democratic struggle, asserting that Tinubu’s name is integral to the list of those who fought for the current democratic system.
When asked whether supporters of Tinubu should face criticism, Kosoko responded, “That is their own business. Their own cup of tea. I am entitled to my opinion. I love the man I voted for, and I believe he is doing well.”
Kosoko continued, “He is doing well. If only you understood how difficult it is to repair things, you would see that he is performing admirably. I voted for him because I have known him for a long time and have witnessed his significant contributions to nation-building. You cannot discuss our current democracy without acknowledging Tinubu’s role in the struggle to achieve it.”
