News of Dorcas Awolumate’s passing surfaced on social media on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024.
Just days before her death, the gospel artist had shared joyful photos in celebration of her husband’s birthday.
While the exact cause of her death remains unknown, gospel artist Adeyinka Alaseyori was among the first to share the tragic news on her Facebook page. Although she did not mention Dorcas Awolumate by name, many followers offered condolences and shared tributes in the comments, revealing the identity of the deceased.
Another gospel artist, Ti Jesu, expressed her grief on Facebook, writing, “It’s hard to accept that Aduke Gold is truly gone, and now, Mama Dorcas as well.
“The pain is overwhelming—it cuts deep. Yet, despite everything, GOD IS FAITHFUL. I have found comfort in singing a song of solace, even though the shock is still fresh.
“We find peace in knowing you are now among the angels, and we hold on to the hope of reuniting on the resurrection morning.
“Mama Dorcas Awolumate, your legacy will live on.

Rest in peace, Aduke Gold.
Rest in peace, Mama Yemi Adeola.
“Though it is difficult, we accept that death is beyond our control. We are comforted knowing you are now with the Father.”
Ayodele Israel, a cleric, also shared his sorrow, saying, “Hearing of your departure to eternity, my dear sister, I still find it hard to believe you’re gone. Who are we to question God? Our comfort lies in knowing you were a true child of the kingdom.
“Mama Awolu,” as I fondly called you, we will all miss your warmth, kindness, humility, hospitality, and unwavering faith. May your soul find eternal rest in God’s embrace.
“To my brother, Proff Awolumate, I understand the depth of this pain, but I trust that God will comfort you. He will guide you and your children through this difficult time. Heaven has welcomed a saint.
