The Anambra State Government has demolished a structure identified as a kidnappers’ hideout, operating under the guise of a hotel located along the Onitsha-Owerri Road.
This was disclosed in a statement posted on the official Anambra State New Media account on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
The building, formerly known as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also referred to as “La Cruise Hotel,” was reportedly a hub for criminal activities, including kidnapping.
The statement further revealed that the hotel contained over 30 partitioned graves.
It read, “Oba, Idemili South LGA! Demolition of a kidnappers’ den operating as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as ‘La Cruise Hotel,’ situated along the Onitsha-Owerri Road.
“The building included a shrine and over 30 partitioned graves on the top floor!”
