A graduate of Babcock University has taken to social media to express his disappointment after spending over ₦10 million on a degree in Political Science, only to remain unemployed a year after completing his studies.

In a video shared on X, he voiced his frustration, stating that his academic efforts have yielded no financial returns. He criticized certain academic disciplines—particularly Political Science and Public Administration—describing them as “irrelevant” in Nigeria’s current job market.

“Today marks one year since I graduated from Babcock University,” he said. “Despite investing more than ₦10 million in my education, I haven’t been able to land a job that pays at least ₦100,000.”

He went on to claim that only specific fields offer real opportunities in the country, such as Accounting, Banking and Finance, Law, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science. His remarks have drawn a range of reactions from users online, sparking debates about the value of university education and employability in Nigeria.
