Nigerian award-winning singer and songwriter, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has revealed that she would not mind becoming a second wife, explaining that most of the men interested in her are either much older or already married.
Speaking on the American podcast “Lip Service”, which gained widespread attention on Friday, the Afrobeats star said she has reached a stage in life where her dating options are limited, as most potential partners are in their 50s or unavailable.
“I feel like a sugar mama, but that’s not what I want. Most men who can actually marry me are either in their 50s or already married. So maybe I could be a second wife. I think I can handle that,” she said.
The singer and mother of one added that she values peace and respect in relationships and would not be a problematic co-wife.
“I believe I could get along with the first wife. She’d probably like me because I wouldn’t be troublesome. I’m often away on tour, so I wouldn’t cause any stress. I’m very respectful and would recognize her position as the first wife,” Tiwa stated.
Tiwa Savage was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as TBillz. The couple tied the knot in 2013 and divorced in 2018. Their union produced one son. Following their separation, both accused each other of infidelity.
