Aisha Wahab, the young lady who was abducted in Auchi, Edo State, has been released after spending several weeks in captivity.
She was reportedly taken last Saturday at Igbira Camp, Auchi, by armed men who invaded the area and whisked her away into the forest.
During her time in captivity, videos surfaced online showing Aisha pleading for help while her kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₦20 million for her release. The abductors had also threatened to take her life if the ransom was not paid by Friday, October 24.
Isreal DMW, who had been vocal about the incident, confirmed that Aisha has now regained her freedom after the ransom was reportedly paid.
