Nigerian gospel artist Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known for her hit song “Omije Ojumi,” has called for prayers and divine intervention as she battles a serious leg condition.
The incident occurred during a worship service at G.F. David Ministries in Ibadan, where a viral video showed the singer seated with her leg propped on a chair while receiving prayers from a pastor. An intravenous (IV) line was also seen attached to her hand, indicating the gravity of her health situation.
During the service, the pastor revealed that Akinnaanu had been suffering from persistent bleeding in her leg, which he described as a spiritual attack. He prayed fervently for her healing, declaring that the “spirit of death” had no power over her.
“You will testify to God’s glory,” the cleric said during the prayer. “I command every arrow in this leg to leave in Jesus’ name. I speak to the blood, bone, and tissue—receive healing and restoration.”
Although the exact medical details of her illness have not been disclosed, the video has raised concerns among fans and followers, prompting an outpouring of support and prayer sessions across social media platforms.
Bunmi Akinnaanu, who began singing at just 10 years old, left her banking career to pursue gospel music full-time. Over the years, she has become a respected name in the Nigerian gospel scene, releasing several inspiring songs and albums that have touched countless lives.
Her fans continue to offer words of encouragement, expressing hope for her swift and complete recovery.
