TikTok influencer and livestreamer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has been admitted to hospital after crashing his newly purchased Mercedes-Benz during an emotional livestream in Lagos.
The incident occurred on Sunday along the Lekki–Epe Expressway while Peller was broadcasting live on social media. In the video, which has since gone viral, the content creator appeared visibly distressed as he drove alone, speaking emotionally and showing signs of agitation.
During the livestream, Peller expressed fear of public ridicule if his relationship ended and made several alarming statements suggesting self-harm. Moments later, the footage showed his vehicle swerving off the road and hitting a barrier, resulting in serious damage to the car.
Passersby reportedly rushed to his aid immediately after the crash, and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Although it has been confirmed that he is receiving medical care, details about the extent of his injuries have not been officially disclosed.
Peller’s relationship with fellow content creator Jarvis has often played out publicly, marked by online disputes, reconciliations, and leaked messages. Recent rumours of another breakup have fueled speculation that personal issues may have contributed to the emotional state seen during the livestream.
Reactions on social media have been divided. While many users have expressed concern for his physical and mental well-being, others have questioned the authenticity of the incident, citing his history of dramatic and viral online content.
Authorities and road safety officials are yet to release an official statement on the crash as investigations continue.
