Davido Offers Condolences to Wizkid Over Mother’s Passing
Nigerian artist, Davido, also known as David Adeleke, has extended his sympathies to his fellow musician, Wizkid (Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun), following the loss of his mother. Wizkid’s mother, who played a significant role in supporting her son’s successful career, passed away in the early hours of August 18, 2023, after a brief illness. Sunday Aare, Wizkid’s longtime manager, confirmed the news, stating that she passed away around 1:30 am.
Davido, referring to Wizkid as his brother, expressed his support through a tweet. He assured Wizkid that he is in his thoughts and prayers, saying, “Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo. Sadness flies away on the wings of time.”
