In a heartbreaking turn of events, Oriyomi Remilekun, a vibrant prophet based in Lagos, reportedly drowned during a beach excursion in the Ajah area while celebrating Valentine’s Day this year.According to sources, the late Oriyomi led a group of youths from his white garment church to Avista Beach in the area on Saturday, February 17, to mark the occasion. The outing, filled with laughter and camaraderie, took a devastating turn when Oriyomi went missing after the festivities concluded.Despite frantic efforts by his companions to locate him, their search proved futile. The group returned to the beach the next morning and subsequently filed a report at the nearest police station. The management of Avista Beach confirmed the incident, revealing that Oriyomi’s body was discovered washed ashore on a different beach within the community the following Monday.Heartfelt tributes poured in for the late prophet on social media, with friends and acquaintances mourning his untimely demise. Erinle Abel, a Facebook user, described Oriyomi as a gifted, humble, and respectful individual, expressing deep sorrow at his passing. When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated he was not aware of the incident at the time of inquiry. The tragic loss of Oriyomi Remilekun serves as a somber reminder of the unpredictable nature of life, leaving behind a community in mourning and questions unanswered.
