A circulating video on social media captures a disturbing incident at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology in Ikere, Ekiti State. In the footage, a female undergraduate is seen mercilessly beating a fellow student with a stick, despite the victim’s pleas for mercy.
The altercation, which took place on Sunday according to Drivetvnews reports, occurred on the university’s campus. The aggressor, identified as a “very popular” Mass Communication student, can be heard threatening the victim, Ajayi Precious Gloria, with the chilling words, “Let me draw blood from you easily or hardly.”
The video, filmed by a witness, sheds light on the distressing lack of intervention from onlookers during the assault. Although the reason behind the attack remains unknown, it’s alarming to witness such violence within an educational institution.
This incident echoes recent cases of bullying highlighted on social media, including a viral video from Lead British International School in Abuja, where a female student was subjected to bullying by her classmates. Additionally, another video emerged in April, depicting bullying involving male students in the school’s uniform.
