President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to deliver a nationwide address at 7 a.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in honor of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary. This broadcast is part of a week-long series of events organized by the Federal Government to commemorate the nation’s independence.
In a statement released on Saturday by the presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are urged to connect to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria to broadcast the address.
It’s worth noting that President Tinubu recently returned to the country via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where he was welcomed by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other high-ranking government officials.
During his participation in the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), President Tinubu emphasized the importance of Africa overcoming foreign exploitation to achieve prosperity through democratic ideals. He also highlighted Nigeria’s alignment with the objectives and guiding principles of the UN, which encompass peace, security, human rights, and development.
