Emeka Ike, a renowned Nollywood actor who recently reappeared on screen after a lengthy absence, has shared the significant success he achieved during his time away from the film industry.
In a discussion with NollyNow, Ike highlighted that his break from acting was instrumental in the creation of several new and notable brands. “My absence wasn’t entirely detrimental; it allowed me to develop additional brands beyond just Emeka Ike. I now own Nollywood TV on Startimes and am working on other high-demand ventures,” Ike explained.
He also took the opportunity to delve into politics during his break from the industry. Ike expressed his enthusiasm about returning to entertain his fans and uphold his legacy as one of Nollywood’s trailblazers. “We are breaking the ice again. I am excited to keep entertaining my fans and meet their expectations,” he said.
Ike’s time away from the screen coincided with the dissolution of his marriage to Suzanne Emma, who has Dutch and Nigerian heritage. Their marriage, which began in 2000 and resulted in four children, officially ended on July 13, 2015, following accusations of repeated violence, leading to a divorce finalized by a Lagos Island Customary Court.
The actor and film producer has since found happiness with his new wife, Yolanda Pfeiffer, and they have a baby girl together.
