Olamide Adedeji, better known as Olamide Baddo, is a distinguished rapper, singer, and record label owner who has firmly established himself as a leading figure in Nigeria’s music industry.

His most recent album, “Ikigai,” has garnered significant acclaim. Among the standout tracks on this album are “Hello Habibi” and “Metaverse.”

In a recent interview, Olamide discussed his new album and the inspiration behind it, following a near four-year hiatus from music. His previous album, “Carpe Diem,” was released in 2020.

During his conversation with Too Xclusive, Olamide shared that he nearly left his music career to focus solely on songwriting. However, after deep reflection, he realized he could not abandon music, as it is integral to his sense of purpose.

Olamide also elaborated on the meaning behind the album title “Ikigai,” a Japanese concept that represents the pursuit of a purposeful and meaningful life.
