In addition, NiMet forecasts morning thunderstorms in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Niger, Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, and Kwara states. By afternoon and evening, these storms may continue in Kwara, the FCT, Niger, Benue, and Kogi.

For the southwest, morning rains are expected over states such as Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, and Ogun, extending to coastal areas like Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa.

Thunderstorms are also forecast later in the day for regions including Enugu, Edo, Ebonyi, Ondo, Abia, Osun, Imo, Ekiti, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, and Lagos.

On Tuesday, early thunderstorms are expected in Taraba, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Sokoto, and Zamfara. Later, Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Bauchi, Taraba, Gombe, and Adamawa are likely to experience storms as well.

Morning thunderstorms are also anticipated for the FCT, Niger, Benue, and Nasarawa, with further storms expected by afternoon in these areas, along with Plateau and Kwara.

In the southern region, Tuesday’s forecast calls for morning rain in Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo, Lagos, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers, while other areas may remain cloudy. By evening, thunderstorms are likely in Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Imo, Edo, Delta, Lagos, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers.

For Wednesday, thunderstorms are predicted in the morning for Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Borno, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi, with isolated storms expected later in the day in Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe, Taraba, Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina.

Niger and Kwara may also see thunderstorms, while other states in the North Central region are expected to have cloudy conditions in the morning. Afternoon thunderstorms are forecast for the FCT, Plateau, Nasarawa, and Benue.

In the southern part of the country on Wednesday, rain is likely in the morning over Cross River, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom, with cloudy skies elsewhere. By the afternoon, thunderstorms are expected to develop in states such as Imo, Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, and Delta.

NiMet has advised residents in areas prone to flooding to remain cautious, as heavy rainfall could trigger urban flooding, especially in larger cities.
