A Facebook user named Onoh Chukwuma reportedly took his own life by consuming an insecticide, allegedly due to losing N2.5 million in betting. On his Facebook wall, he posted a message indicating that it was his final day and that he was heading to meet his maker. Unfortunately, he had already taken the insecticide before making this announcement.

Expressing gratitude to certain individuals in his post, he stated, “Today is my last day on earth! I’m going to meet my maker. Thank you Chima Anyaso, Ikukuoma Abia, Kelvin Jombo Onumah, Ekwueme Ohafia, and my friends. My spirit is with you all.”

Upon discovering his distress, friends rushed Onoh to Madonna Hospital in Umuahia. Despite medical efforts to revive him, he did not survive.

Allegedly, Onoh had lost N2.5 million in betting and faced unbearable shame and pressure from those he had borrowed money from. A friend, in despair, recounted the unsuccessful attempts made by medical staff to bring him back.

Another Facebook user questioned the deceased’s actions, mentioning that Onoh had N1 million and borrowed N1.5 million to play a bet that did not pan out, resulting in his tragic end due to the humiliation from creditors.

Expressing sorrow, a user named Ibeako Esther Chisom mentioned witnessing the medical team’s attempts to revive Onoh but unfortunately confirmed his passing in front of friends.

Furthermore, Obika James Abuchi expressed disbelief over Onoh’s decision, questioning the choices that led to this tragic outcome.

Friends have poured out their condolences on his Facebook page following this devastating incident.
