Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has officially endorsed the appointment of Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye as the forthcoming Soun of Ogbomosoland. The announcement was made in a statement issued by Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, on a recent Saturday. This appointment has been made following a meticulous adherence to the legal procedures and protocols outlined in the law.

In his statement, Governor Makinde extended his warm congratulations to the newly appointed Soun-elect, acknowledging the significance of his ascension to the revered throne of his ancestors.
