Renowned Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, known as Hilda Baci, expressed her preference not to date or marry a man who possesses cooking skills. She emphasized her deep love for cooking and her desire not to be overshadowed by a man’s culinary abilities in the kitchen.
The former Guinness World Record holder revealed that her ideal demonstration of affection from a man is when he orders food for her.
In a widely-circulated podcast video on X (formerly Twitter), Baci articulated, “I don’t desire a man who knows how to cook. I want a man that can order me food. My passion lies in cooking, and I express my care by preparing meals for those I cherish, particularly my partner. If you don’t mind ordering food for me, that’s a gesture of love I truly appreciate.”
