Nigerian singer Iyanya has provided an update regarding the stolen jewellery of his colleague Mayorkun, revealing that one of the necklaces has been recovered after being reportedly taken in Calabar, Cross River State.

According to Drivetvnews, Mayorkun had expressed frustration and vowed not to perform in Calabar again following the alleged theft of his expensive jewellery during his visit to the city for a performance.

Iyanya, urging the return of the stolen items and promising a reward, took to his social media handle to announce the return of one of the necklaces. He posted a picture of the recovered piece inscribed with ‘The Mayor Of Lagos’ and expressed gratitude to the individual who brought it back to The Grand Hotel Calabar.

“Thank you to the person who returned this to THE GRAND HOTEL CALABAR this morning. Just received one of @Mayorkun’s jewelry pieces. We still have one more to recover. If anyone has the second piece, please assist in returning it,” Iyanya wrote alongside the photo.

Additionally, in a subsequent post, Iyanya pledged a reward of $500 to anyone who returns the second pendant engraved with ‘Of Lagos’.

“Offering $500 for the return of the second pendant. The reward money is available at The Grand Hotel Calabar,” he emphasized in his post.
