A currently unnamed pastor is under investigation and facing interrogations at the Delta State Police Command in Asaba over allegations of defrauding a church member, Mr. Goodluck, of N18 million. Mr. Goodluck had transferred the funds in 2023 with the expectation of purchasing a parcel of land, but after an extended period without any progress, he demanded the return of his money. The pastor consistently delayed payment, leading to his arrest and subsequent transfer to Asaba for further investigation. The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, has not responded to text messages. During Vanguard’s visit to the premises, the church building was found locked.
