Reports from Drivetvnews suggest that Kudirat Bolarinwa was brutally assaulted, raped, and killed at Lakere, Ayeyemi area.
Her naked and decomposed body was discovered by the police search team in the forest over the weekend. Sources indicate that Bolarinwa accompanied the suspect to buy plantains on a farm before the horrific attack occurred.
After failing to return from the farm on Friday, Bolarinwa was declared missing. Her husband, Abolarinwa, alerted the Enu-Owa Police Division, leading to a search operation. A bag believed to belong to the perpetrator was found at the crime scene.
The recovered paper from the scene indicated that the suspect had been released from Segede prison on February 6, 2024. Signs of violence, including machete cuts, were evident on Bolarinwa’s body.
The state police command has launched a manhunt for the fleeing ex-convict. Police spokesperson Funmi Odunlami confirmed the murder, stating that Kudirat Bolarinwa was brutally attacked in the bush by an unknown assailant.
“The deceased was found with severe machete wounds to her face, lower arm, and head. Her body has been deposited at the morgue in Ondo town, while efforts are underway to apprehend the culprit,” Odunlami concluded.
