In Kadarko, located in Nasarawa State’s Keana Local Government Area, three farmers were ruthlessly murdered over a dispute over a piece of farmland.
The victims, laboring on the contested tract, fell prey to an assault by unknown armed individuals.
A resident, verifying the occurrence, disclosed that the attack unfolded near the Railway axis of the community.
He recounted, “A band of armed assailants stormed a disputed farmland where the three individuals were toiling and fatally attacked them.”
“The attackers swiftly fled the scene before security personnel arrived.”
The victims, identified as Eggon farmers from the community, have been subjected to recurrent deadly assaults in recent times due to disputes over land ownership.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, remarked that he had yet to receive formal information regarding the incident.
