Aduke Omotayo, the wife of Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo, has responded to criticism from fellow actress Dayo Amusa regarding her husband’s involvement in presenting the Best Dressed Female award to Bobrisky, a well-known crossdresser, at Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere.
The disagreement stirred controversy as Amusa voiced her discontent on Instagram, accusing the event’s judges and organizers of showing disrespect to women present by honoring Bobrisky. She advocated for the creation of a separate category to acknowledge crossdressers.
In retaliation, Aduke took to Instagram to defend her husband, questioning the fairness of targeting him solely for presenting the award to Bobrisky. She argued against blaming the presenter for decisions made by event officials.
Furthermore, Aduke criticized individuals who chose to publicly criticize her husband instead of addressing their concerns privately, questioning their integrity.
Amusa, responding to Aduke’s defense, acknowledged Aduke’s right to support her spouse but criticized her for engaging in what she viewed as narrow-minded banter.
In response to Aduke’s comments, Amusa fired back, challenging the potential harm she could inflict and labeling her a hypocrite and evil-minded individual.
Aduke recounted an earlier apology from Amusa to Femi, alleging that Amusa promised to rectify the situation with a video apology, which she claims never materialized. She concluded by affirming her faith in divine protection, stating, “Who God has blessed, No Dayo can curse. God is bigger than you.”
