In Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, a lady named Simbiat Moshood has brought accusations of sexual abuse against her father. This has resulted in her father, Mashood, being brought before the Upper Area Court by his daughter for the alleged crime. Simbiat claims that her father has been sexually assaulting her and threatening her with jail or death if she spoke up. She also mentioned that her mother refuses to return home after divorcing her father due to his actions. Additionally, Simbiat recounted an incident where her father’s second wife caught them and accused them of engaging in ritualistic activities. The accused’s lawyer, Barrister Toyin Onaolapo, requested bail for his client, which was granted by Magistrate Abdul Yekeen. The case has been adjourned to April 15, 2024.
