In response to public outcry over the reported N42 million annual school fees and N2 million registration fee at Charterhouse, a newly opened British school in Lagos, the management has defended its pricing.

Despite criticisms on social media, the school’s director of Communications, Admissions, and Marketing, Mr. Damilola Olatunbosun, explained that Charterhouse offers prestigious, world-class education valued by discerning parents. He highlighted the school’s unique cultural immersion, ensuring British education in a Nigerian context.

Olatunbosun emphasized that while the fees may seem high, they reflect the quality and facilities provided, comparing it to similar high-profile schools globally. He noted the significant investment in infrastructure, totaling over $150 million upon completion.

Regarding the early demand for admissions, Olatunbosun acknowledged Nigerians’ appreciation for quality education and the willingness of those with financial means to invest in it.

Addressing the possibility of fee adjustments due to criticism, he stressed that Charterhouse prioritizes value over affordability, likening education to dining choices where quality justifies the price.

In summary, Charterhouse stands firm on its pricing, confident in providing unparalleled educational value to discerning parents and students.
