In the town of Ogbomoso, located in Oyo State, a heartbreaking incident occurred involving Adedokun Olamilekan, a young 200 level undergraduate student studying at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. Tragically, Olamilekan, studying in the Department of Information Science, met his untimely death when he was fatally attacked by unidentified individual on a fateful Thursday night.
Olamilekan was not just a student; he was also an entrepreneur, known for his business venture, the Dcrown Unisex Salon, situated in the Under G area of the town. It was during his operations at the salon that he encountered a dispute that escalated into a fatal confrontation with his attackers. Despite efforts to save him, Olamilekan’s injuries proved fatal, and he tragically passed away after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
Eyewitnesses to the incident were quick to report the gruesome event to the authorities, prompting an investigation by the Owode Police Station in Ogbomoso. However, despite the urgency of the situation, attempts to obtain official statements from the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, were unsuccessful due to communication difficulties. Additionally, efforts to reach the university’s Public Relations Officer, Fadeyi, yielded no response at the time of the report.
