Manchester City clinched their fourth consecutive Premier League title with a 3-1 victory over West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium. This historic achievement marks the first time in Premier League history that a club has won the league four times in a row, a testament to the leadership of coach Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Arsenal, who chased Manchester City throughout April and until the final day of the season, were hoping to secure their first Premier League title in 20 years. Their hopes rested on City losing to West Ham while they defeated Everton. However, their plans didn’t materialize.

Manchester City asserted their dominance early in their final game of the campaign, with Phil Foden scoring the opening goal in just the second minute. Foden, who was named Premier League Player of the Season, further showcased his talent by adding a second goal in the 18th minute.

West Ham United attempted a comeback late in the first half, with Mohammed Kudus pulling one back for his team in the 42nd minute. However, their efforts were in vain as Rodri sealed the 3-1 victory for City in the 59th minute.

Meanwhile, Arsenal managed to come from behind and defeat Everton 2-1 with goals from Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kai Havertz. However, the win did not affect the outcome as Manchester City’s victory secured them the title.

Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, finished the 2023-2024 Premier League season with 91 points from 38 games, two points ahead of second-place Arsenal.
