Renowned singer Tiwa Savage recently disclosed that Olamide turned down an offer of ₦100 million for a verse on one of her songs. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Tiwa explained that after receiving an invoice from Olamide’s management team, the YBNL label owner refused payment. She emphasized that Olamide declined payment due to his awareness of the challenges faced by female artists in the music industry.

Tiwa expressed her appreciation for Olamide’s supportive and caring nature, likening their relationship to that of siblings. “I was in talks with his management because I didn’t want to ask him directly, knowing he would do it for free. I was prepared to pay, and his team quoted ₦100 million. When Olamide found out who the artist was, he simply said NO. He refused to accept payment,” Tiwa shared.

“He considers me his sister and understands the difficulties women face in this industry. And you know what? He gave me the verse for free. Good people exist, and Baddo is one of them,” she added.

Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage has opened up about what initially drew her to the music industry. In a recent interview with MTV, the Afrobeats star revealed that her journey into music was inspired by a crush she had on a man who was frequently around musicians.

“I’ve always been interested in acting. Acting was my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy who was always around musicians, so I decided to forget acting and pursue music instead,” Tiwa explained.
