A recent viral video has captured Nigerian protesters creating a stir on social media by displaying a photo of Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, on an empty coffin. The footage shows demonstrators marching through the streets with a tricycle bearing the coffin and the president’s image prominently displayed.

The video has quickly gained traction online, sparking widespread discussion. In a related development, actress and film producer Tana Adelana has called on President Tinubu to address the escalating hardships faced by Nigerians. Through social media, Adelana has urged the president to “protect the citizens of our dear nation Nigeria,” asserting that the ongoing protests aim to draw attention to the severe challenges confronting the nation.

Adelana highlighted the dire conditions, noting, “Things are difficult for the masses. We can’t afford food anymore, there’s no money, and the so-called minimum wage can only buy 56 litres of diesel! We can’t even afford petrol! Health care is non-existent! Government schools are substandard! We don’t have power to support innovation and businesses! The situation is dire!”

She defended the right to protest, emphasizing the peaceful nature of the demonstrations and urging the police to avoid using force. “Protest is our right and so far, it has been peaceful, so the police should not interfere or use tear gas on peaceful protesters,” Adelana asserted.

She further expressed, “We are suffering and everyone is feeling it. The least you can do is allow us to voice our grievances and listen. Nigeria belongs to us all.”
