Tope Alabi, a gospel musician, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to those who supported her following the death of her junior colleague and mentee, Aduke Gold.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Tope thanked everyone who showed love and support during this challenging time. She particularly acknowledged the financial contributions that helped with the funeral arrangements.
In a message, Tope reflected on the overwhelming support received after Aduke Gold’s passing, saying, “We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have experienced. To those who reached out with condolences, greetings, and comforting words, we extend our sincere thanks. Your kindness was incredibly meaningful during this period of grief.”
She also expressed appreciation for the financial donations and in-kind support that contributed to the respectful and dignified arrangement of Aduke Gold’s burial. “We are truly thankful to those who helped with the funeral arrangements, your generosity made a significant difference in honoring Aduke Gold’s memory.”
Tope also conveyed her gratitude to the artists who volunteered their time for the memorial events, saying, “We are forever grateful to the artists who generously ministered at each program. May God bless your compassionate hearts, and may we be spared from similar sorrow.”
Aduke Gold, whose full name was Aduke Morounkola Ajayi, was laid to rest on Friday in Lagos, following a candlelight procession held on Wednesday night. She passed away on August 12 after battling cervical cancer.
