Yusuf Olorungbede, a well-known Nollywood actor and movie producer, has passed away. Drivetvnews Reports indicate that he died on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Olorungbede’s younger brother, Oladimeji Peter, confirmed the news in a heartfelt post on his verified Facebook account on Tuesday evening. In his tribute, Peter expressed deep sorrow, noting the significant impact Olorungbede had on his career. He wrote, “It is sad to hear you are gone. As an actor, you inspired me. You were the first director to invite me to a film set, paying me and taking care of my meals and accommodation without any hassle. How can I write my stories in this industry without mentioning you, EGBON? Through you, I met many people and learned so much. Good night, boss man. Yusuf Olorungbede.”

At this time, the cause of Olorungbede’s death has not been disclosed.

His passing comes shortly after the death of Nollywood actress and film producer Sharon Okpamen, who died shortly after giving birth to her second child. Okpamen had previously announced the arrival of her child on Instagram. Fellow producer Stanely Ontop later confirmed her death.
