Media personality, Daddy Freeze has responded to an incident involving singer Portable, who was filmed slapping a man he accused of preaching near his bar.

According to Drivetvnews, Portable, known for his song “Zazoo Zeh,” broadcasted a live video on Instagram while confronting the preacher outside his venue in Sango Ota, Ogun state. In the video, Portable is seen confronting a middle-aged man holding a Bible. He asks, “Why are you disturbing my clients on Monday morning?” before hitting him. Portable then adds, “This is how they damage my business. Are you out of your mind? It’s early Monday, and you’re disrupting my business. I had prayed before I left home,” before telling the man to leave.

The incident has attracted criticism on social media, with many condemning Portable for his violent response.

On Wednesday, Daddy Freeze addressed the situation on his verified Instagram account. He condemned Portable’s use of violence but also criticized the preacher for his actions, saying, “I don’t support Portable’s assault on the pastor; I’m against violence. However, these pastors sometimes overstep their boundaries. Why are you making noise at someone’s bar? If you want to preach there, at least buy drinks for the patrons first.”

In other news, American rapper 50 Cent recently shared his favorite song at the moment. In a viral interview clip released on Tuesday, 50 Cent revealed that his current favorite track is “Me & U” by Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems.

“My song on repeat right now is ‘Me & U’ by Tems,” he said.

The track is the lead single from Tems’ debut album, “Born In The Wild.” The song has stirred controversy after winning the Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2024 BET Awards, with some critics arguing that a secular artist’s song should not have won over gospel music legends like Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, CeCe Winans, and Maverick City Music.
