Yemi Solade, a seasoned actor, recently shared insights into the key factors behind the success of his 21-year marriage.
Married to his wife Hannah since September 2003, Solade highlighted her pivotal role in their relationship during an interview with Nollywood Radio. The 64-year-old movie producer emphasized that Hannah has been the cornerstone of their union, attributing their enduring bond to her support and guidance through life’s challenges.
Known for his appearances in various Wale Adenuga series such as *Papa Ajasco*, *Super Story*, *This Life*, and *Odd World*, Solade described the foundation of their successful marriage as rooted in friendship.
“I credit my wife for managing our relationship so well. She has shown immense tolerance and perseverance. She is an incredibly selfless person who sacrifices more than anyone I know. Truly, she is a blessing in my life,” Solade expressed.
He further praised Hannah for her understanding and lack of extravagance, stating, “She appreciates what I can provide and is not materialistic. Whatever I give her, she prays for me, which makes a significant difference.”
Solade believes that marriage resembles friendship, likening it to a lifelong commitment.
In the interview, he also addressed allegations suggesting he trades sexual favors for acting roles. Solade firmly denied these claims, explaining that casting decisions are beyond his control. He expressed gratitude to Hannah for her calmness amidst such rumors, saying, “Whenever I tell her something is happening, she simply advises me to be cautious. Her peaceful nature is a big reason we have been together for 22 years.”
Together, Solade and Hannah have two children, Rola and Femi. He previously mentioned that his first wife moved abroad, and he met Hannah on the set of Wale Adenuga’s *Super Story*.
