Nigerian singer Portable has expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of the Big Brother Naija reality show, saying that it no longer holds the same appeal it once did. He shared his thoughts in an Instagram story on Sunday, suggesting that the show has lost its original charm.
Portable also claimed that if he were offered ₦100 million to join the show, he would bring the fun and excitement needed to engage the viewers again. He stated, “Big Brother no sweet again like before. All these people [housemates] no blow, make them pay me 100m I go use cruise finish them. Dr Zeh.”
In another Instagram story, he shared a post from @mazitundeednut that read, “So na today BIG BROTHER show finish lol….So who was the winner? Did you watch the show?”
The final episode of Big Brother Naija Season 9, themed ‘No Loose Guard,’ concluded with eight finalists, and Kellyrae was announced as the winner.
Portable also commented on the ongoing feud between fellow artists Davido and Wizkid, following a recent social media dispute. According to earlier reports, Wizkid reignited their long-standing rivalry on the platform X (formerly known as Twitter), calling Davido “wack with no talent” and making critical remarks about Davido’s family, including his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Responding to the feud, Portable criticized both Davido and Wizkid through a series of Instagram posts on Wednesday, suggesting that their music no longer performs well in the market and that they are using controversy as a means of staying in the spotlight.
The ‘Zazzu Zeh’ singer also claimed that he is now more popular and influential than both artists, a statement that contrasts sharply with their current standings in the music industry.
He wrote, “Don’t use your brother to shine—shine by yourself. Your (Wizkid and Davido) songs are no longer in the market; now you’re (Davido and Wizkid) using fights for promotion. Let’s forget the fake promotion and focus on making hit songs. Portable is bigger than them (Wizkid and Davido)—who is big is big. We’re not on the same level; it’s only me and God. Omolalomi, the chosen one.”
Portable emphasized that he does not support either Davido or Wizkid in their ongoing conflict, saying, “I’m not here for Davido. I’m not here for Wizkid. I’m here for myself, which is why I support those who support me. Chosen one.”
