President Bola Tinubu has shared tips on how Nigerians can reduce their electricity bills, emphasizing the importance of turning off unused lights.

During a media briefing in Lagos State, Tinubu stated, “It’s not a bad thing to learn how to manage resources. You can control your electricity expenses by switching off the lights when they are not in use. Let’s adopt better management practices.”

The president also expressed his opposition to price regulation, asserting, “I don’t support price control; instead, we will focus on working hard to ensure market supply meets demand.”

Since taking office, Tinubu’s administration has implemented policies that include increasing electricity tariffs and removing the fuel subsidy.

On April 3, 2024, the electricity regulator raised the tariff for Band A customers from N66 to N225 per kilowatt-hour. This adjustment sparked widespread criticism as it further strained the financial situation of many Nigerians.

In another development: Former BBNaija star Tacha has sparked conversations online after celebrating her 24th birthday for the second time.

On Monday, Tacha shared her birthday celebration on social media, prompting Nigerians to revisit her earlier claims. In 2020, she disclosed that she was born in 1995. However, in her recent post on X, she stated she is 24 again, leading to debates about how someone born in 1995 could still be 24 in 2024.
