A Nigerian man has accused a petrol station of selling him air instead of fuel, despite paying ₦35,000 for it. He has vowed to report the incident to the authorities.
The claim was made public through a video shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In the video, the man records a conversation with the fuel attendant, alleging that despite spending ₦35,000, his fuel gauge showed no increase.
He confronted the attendant, saying, “We’re heading to the police station today. You need to explain this scam you’re running here. If I didn’t know better, would you have tried to deceive me this morning?”
The man also demanded the station manager’s presence, reiterating, “We are going to the police today. You need to clarify this operation. If I had been unaware, would you have attempted to deceive me?”
The post quickly gained attention, with many social media users sharing their thoughts in the comments.
