Popular Yoruba actor Babatunde Tayo, widely known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Dara, the wife of entertainer Ijoba Lande.
During a live interview on Sunday with socialite Esabod and other TikTok users, Baba Tee acknowledged the incident, marking a reversal of his previous denial. Initially, he had dismissed the allegations and challenged Lande to provide proof.
Lande had accused Dara of infidelity, claiming their marriage ended after he discovered her alleged affairs with multiple men in the entertainment industry—naming at least 21 individuals, including Baba Tee. However, at the time, Baba Tee insisted he had only met Dara once in the past year through actress Marygold.
In a new development, Baba Tee now admits to the encounter, explaining that it took place during a game of “Truth or Dare” involving himself, Marygold, and Dara.
Recounting the incident, he said, “As soon as the game started, Marygold removed her clothes and kept daring me to interact with Dara. Dara kept taking alcohol to avoid completing the tasks I asked of her. Then Marygold dared her to engage in a brief sexual encounter with me, and she agreed.
“I won’t deny it—I did have a short encounter with her. This is the first time I am admitting it. I now realize it was all a setup to tarnish my reputation.”
Following his admission, Esabod advised Baba Tee to apologize to Lande. On Monday, Baba Tee took to his official Facebook page to express remorse, writing:
“I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. How Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge still baffles me… Hmmm. I fear women.”
Marygold, who was Ijoba Lande’s manager, is believed to have recorded the encounter between Baba Tee and Dara.
