A 32-year-old woman, Loveth Helen Alo, has been charged in the Enugu North Magisterial District Court for allegedly making false claims about owning a five-bedroom duplex in WTC Estate, Enugu.
According to SP Daniel Ndukwe, spokesperson for the Enugu State Police Command, detectives from the Legal Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department arrested Alo on February 1, 2025, following a petition alleging she falsely declared ownership of the property.
She reportedly made the claim while giving a testimony at the Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos, stating that she had acquired the house as a blessing from God.
During police questioning, she allegedly admitted to fabricating the claim and acting alone.
Ndukwe further stated that Alo faces five charges, including fraud, defamation, and attempted felony for allegedly trying to sell the property under false pretenses.
She has been granted bail, and the court has scheduled the next hearing for April 9, 2025.
