The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the brutal murder of 14-year-old Almajiri student Bashir Adamu, whose beheaded body was discovered with his genitals removed.
The incident reportedly took place in Jikas-Dabaja village, Gwaram Local Government Area.
Bashir had been missing for two days before locals found his remains. His family later identified the body.
Confirming the arrest, the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, stated that a suspect was in custody but did not disclose further details.
“We have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing of the Almajiri student, but I cannot provide additional information at this time,” Adam said.
