Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), will lead a two-day prayer crusade in Ibadan to address the nation’s challenges, including kidnapping and banditry.
The event, set to begin on Friday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, is organized by RCCG’s Oyo Provinces and will feature other prominent spiritual leaders, such as Bishop Francis Wale Oke and Bishop Taiwo Adelakun. The gathering aims to unite the community in prayer and seek divine intervention for national security concerns.
During a press conference, Pastor Jide Ojurongbe, Chairman of the Planning Committee, emphasized the extensive preparations to ensure a well-organized and secure event. He assured that security measures and crowd control strategies are in place through collaborations with law enforcement agencies and medical teams.
Represented by Pastor Ezekiel Afolayan, Pastor Ojurongbe highlighted the significance of the crusade, noting that this will be Pastor Adeboye’s first time ministering at the stadium. He added that the interdenominational nature of the event will encourage participation from people of various backgrounds, fostering unity and faith amid the country’s difficulties.
“As Nigeria continues to struggle with insecurity, this prayer crusade seeks to strengthen spiritual support and call for divine intervention,” he stated.
“With respected religious leaders from across the nation involved, the event is expected to inspire hope and encourage collective action in addressing these pressing issues.”
