Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has revealed plans to embrace a new chapter in his personal life, committing to loyalty and prioritizing his family.
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast on Tuesday, the award-winning musician openly reflected on his past relationships, acknowledging that previous mistakes have shaped his current outlook.
“I’m done with cheating. I don’t want any more problems,” Davido stated. “I have five children with four different women. I’d rather settle down and live like some of my other friends. Maybe my experiences taught me a lesson. Sometimes, life itself is the best teacher.”
Davido also mentioned that growing up around polygamy, especially witnessing the challenges faced by some of his uncles, has influenced his desire to avoid similar situations.
Looking ahead, the music star confirmed that he and his long-time fiancée, Chioma Rowland, will be having their white wedding in Miami, USA, this August. The couple, who already had their traditional wedding ceremony, welcomed twins — a boy and a girl — in 2023.
Davido also spoke tenderly about his late son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in 2022, noting the emotional connection he feels with his newborn son.
“We’ve been blessed with twins — a boy and a girl. What’s really special is that my son looks exactly like Ifeanyi. He even behaves like him — everything Ifeanyi used to do, he does,” Davido shared.
