Veteran Fuji musician General Kollington Ayinla has declared that Salawa Abeni remains his wife, even after more than three decades of separation and her current relationship with another man.
In a recent interview with media personality Teju BabyFace, Kollington stated that Salawa’s current partner is merely “borrowing” her. He emphasized that their bond remains intact despite their separation and pointed out that she has not had any children with her present partner.
When asked about the reason behind their split, Kollington responded, “That’s how God intended it. Salawa and I have three children together. She is my wife for life. She’s a celebrity, and just as female fans pursue male musicians, male fans also pursue female stars. But women often lack the understanding to handle that. Regardless of what happens, she always shows up. She is still my wife. The person she’s with now is only keeping her temporarily.”
According to Drivetvnews, the couple separated in 1990 after eight years together and three children.
