A 43-year-old woman identified only as Gift has been taken into custody by officers from the Nkpolu Police Division in Diobu, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Rivers State, following a violent altercation in which she reportedly bit off the tip of her partner’s genitalia.
The incident took place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Bishop Okoye Street in the Mile 3 Diobu area of Port Harcourt.
According to information obtained by Saturday Sun, the conflict began when the victim, known as Mr. Sunday, asked Gift for sex. She allegedly declined, claiming that Sunday often uses performance-enhancing drugs, causing their intimate encounters to last excessively long.
An anonymous source reported that following her refusal, Sunday allegedly assaulted her. During the scuffle, Gift is said to have bitten off the cap of his penis.
The commotion reportedly drew the attention of nearby residents, who were alerted by Sunday’s cries for help.
The situation nearly escalated further, as an angry mob attempted to attack Gift. However, officers from the Nkpolu Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), arrived in time to prevent further violence.
Sunday was transported to an undisclosed hospital where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident to journalists. “Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman, aged 43, has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing,” she stated.
