Distinguished guests from various parts of Nigeria gathered in Ilesa, Osun State, to witness the coronation of Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, as the 41st Owa Obokun of Ijesaland.
The grand event attracted a massive turnout from residents, many of whom closed their businesses to partake in the celebration of this significant cultural milestone.
Notable attendees included the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke; the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola—representing President Bola Tinubu; former President Olusegun Obasanjo; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; and Senator Francis Fadahunsi of Osun East.
The coronation was also attended by several traditional rulers, among them the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Laoye Ghandi; the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi; the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Oba Akeem Ogungbangbe; and the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams.
Other dignitaries at the ceremony included Engr. Olalekan Badmus, Executive Director of Marine and Operations; a former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly; and several members of the Osun State Executive Council.
