The meeting was convened to address growing unrest and ensure calm in the community following the tragic incident.
SP Olabisi revealed that the suspects, believed to be local thugs, have been charged in court and are currently being held at the Ilaro Correctional Centre. Condemning the killing, the police described it as a grave offense that contradicts the values of the Ifo community. They pledged to hold all those involved accountable.
Hon. Kusimo extended his condolences to the victim’s family and the broader Igbo community. He also thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun for his prompt intervention, which helped prevent further unrest in the area.
