A devastating road accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near the Soka area in Ibadan, Oyo State, claiming several lives.
Eyewitnesses reported that the crash involved no fewer than six vehicles, including three Nissan Micra taxis and three articulated trucks, all reportedly travelling from the Iwo Road axis when the incident happened.
Although emergency officials had not released an official casualty figure at the time of this report, local accounts suggest that over ten people may have lost their lives, with many others sustaining injuries.
Rescue operations were still ongoing as authorities worked to manage the aftermath of the crash.
